SUNDAYS @ 9AM

Come as you are. There is no dress code. We gather in a sanctuary filled with pews, beautiful stained glass, and filled with the sounds of an organ. We are traditional but not formal. We will sing together, pray together, read scripture together, and reflect together.

We have a welcome team to greet you as you enter. If you are visiting for the first time they will offer you a connect card which gives you the option to enter further conversation with our pastoral team. We also have a small thank you gift for visiting. After service you are invited to join us on the front porch for some refreshments and fellowship.

We have nursery care available for young children during service and programing for children happens during our 10am service. Visit our RISE page for more information.

Journey.

We have found that spirituality is more of a journey. We go, because God goes with us.

Include.

We feel called to include across all borders and divisions. We have experienced the welcome of grace and believe that it is for everyone.

Love.

We have found that spirituality is more of a journey. We go, because God goes with us.

The Lectionary

Our sermons seek to engage us in the deep story of scripture, to invite us into further relationship with God, to see all things as Holy. They tend to follow the lectionary which is a series of scripture reading used by the whole church across the glove reminding us of how broad and diverse our community is. The lectionary moves through the texts of bible across a three year cycle inviting us to engage with the whole story of God.

Gather

We think spiritual growth happens best when you are journeying along with others in authentic and thoughtful relationship. Groups meet in homes, coffee shops, and the church.

Serve

We believe God is in the process of healing the world and that we are invited to participate in this work. We do this through our service together.

Connect

We are part of a large community that is the First United Methodist Church of Escondido. We have a traditional service as well as a Spanish Language service plus a new inclusive worship gathering in North County, SD.
